Tendinitis is inflammation, irritation, injury or microscopic tear of tendons associated with pain, tenderness, swelling, and movement restriction.

Tendons are inflamed when injured by trauma, overuse, work-load, infections and rarely in some disease conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, gout, diabetes, etc. Rarely do some drugs like atorvastatin and fluoroquinolone cause tendinitis.

Usually, the tendinitis pain is relieved by taking rest and NSAID, and within few days, tendinitis will be cured. Physiotherapy or surgery sometimes need to resolve tendinitis.

Besides medical management, there are few traditional and natural remedies to cure tendinitis naturally. To cure tendinitis naturally, the following can be done-

 


Ice-packs:

Ice-pack helps to reduce inflammation, relieve pain and decrease swelling of tendinitis when applying over the affected tendon and joints.

Daily 3 times for 5-10 min topical application of ice-packs is efficient to relieve pain.

   

 


 

 

Epsom Salt Bath:

Apple Cider Vinegar:

Bone broth

Cayenne Pepper Powder:

It may reduce the pain by improving blood supply to the tendon and surrounding structures. It may reduce the scar formation and adhesion of the injured tendon to surrounding tissue.
